I've been a fan of Rain-X for years, especially when it comes to keeping my windshield crystal clear during those rainy drives. It’s been a lifesaver on my long road trips, especially when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Recently, though, I’ve started thinking about the other parts of my car that could benefit from that same kind of water-repellent protection.

My headlights, for example, tend to get pretty foggy and dull over time, especially after a few rainstorms. I drive an SUV, and between the road grime and the weather, it feels like I’m constantly cleaning them off. I’ve heard that some people use Rain-X on their headlights and even on motorcycle windshields to improve visibility, but I’m a bit hesitant because I’m not sure if it’s as effective on plastic as it is on glass.

I’m curious if anyone here has tried using Rain-X on plastic surfaces. Does it help with clarity and visibility, or should I stick to products specifically designed for plastic? I’m also wondering if it leaves any residue or causes any long-term damage to the plastic. If you’ve got any tips or experiences to share, I’d love to hear them before I go experimenting on my own SUV!
